Baptism

We believe that baptism symbolizes a life surrendered and committed to following Christ. Just as a wedding ring is an outward symbol of a commitment to marriage, baptism is an outward demonstration of having accepted Christ’s saving grace. It represents Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection which means we have died to our old life and have been given new life in Christ.
For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. Colossians 2:12 NLT

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19 NLT
